Our Story
Pastor Derek Mueller lived in the La Crosse area as a child and again after college where he worked at a local ministry working with at-risk and underprivileged teenagers. In 2008, Derek and Regan moved to Rochester, Minnesota where Derek spent four years as a youth pastor.
Our Story
NCC began in 2015 with a heart for two things: Mission and Discipleship.
We are a body of believers who live as everyday missionaries in the everyday places of life where God has planted us in order that we might bring glory to God by letting our lights shine. Rather than remove ourselves from the world, we wisely and winsomely engage it as Jesus’ hands and feet, bringing the good news of Jesus Christ.
We are a body of believers who make disciples, not simply converts. More than praying a prayer, or attending a service, discipleship requires our participation and obedience. Discipleship is the process of submitting every area of life to Jesus so that every area of our life is transformed into the image of Jesus.
And because Jesus modeled mission and discipleship in the context of relationships, we’ve aimed to do as much ministry as possible in our homes, neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and community events.
Just as the Father sent the Son, so the Son sends the Church to join Him in His mission of making disciples of all nations.

Northside Today
Northside Community Church has grown from a living room full of friends to a group of several hundred people who meet regularly on Sunday mornings and throughout the week. While the venue has changed over the years, the mission for NCC has and will remain: Be, Belong, Become!
Gather With Us!
Join us every Sunday as we gather to worship together at 10am.
