Happy Fall Y'all!
Be Gracious.
“…but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
We are a people of Grace. Grace is the undeserved kindness of God toward man leading us to salvation through faith in Jesus and empowering us to live a life honoring to Him. In response to Jesus’ grace toward us, we are to freely give to others what we have freely received from Him.
As we preach the Scriptures and as our sin is revealed, we don’t have to hide because grace sees us as we are, grace draws near, and grace rises to the occasion, covering over a multitude of sins.
This is who God has called us to be. A people who can make mistakes, fall short, and stay in relationship. We won’t always get this right – I don’t always get this right. But by God’s grace that is in us that enables us to be a people of grace, we will always seek to remind ourselves of the grace that is to be found in Christ.
Grace to you,
Derek

Baptism
If you've been thinking about getting baptized yet this summer/fall, this Sunday, September 25th, baptisms will be held at the Welch Pool- 310 23rd St. N. La Crosse. Still thinking about it? Connect with Pastor Derek (Derek@northsidecommunity.org) if you have questions!
Torchlight parade
Join us Thursday, September 29th for a BBQ in the north parking lot of The Building to watch the Torchlight parade which is so dear to the people of the Northside! Can't think of a better way to meet the neighborhood! BBQ at 6pm, parade at 7pm. Questions? Reach out to Stephanie Welch at Stephanie@northsidecommunity.org
Building Purchase Meeting
Please join us after worship on October 2nd to discuss moving forward with buying The Building. Childcare isn't provided, but coffee will be :)
Fall Cleaning
All hands on deck needed to refresh The Building inside and out on Saturday, October 8th from 8-11am. Good with a leaf blower? We need you for outside! Good at organizing? The storage area downstairs needs some love. Wiping down cupboards, sweeping out the garage, or moving large items to take to the dump sound like fun? We need YOU! Work gloves and push brooms are welcome and please connect with Laurie Schmidt at laurie@northsidecommunity.org if you have questions.
Snack Drive
Please consider donating snacks for the children at Northside Elementary School. Anything from Goldfish crackers, fruit roll-ups, Go-gurts, raisins, crackers with peanut butter or cheese, individual bags of popcorn are all great ideas. Teachers prefer individually wrapped snacks although sharable size bags of popcorn are popular. Please no fruit cups. Bins will be located on the north wall of the fellowship area for collecting through Sunday, October 9th.
